2026/006: Amendments to Annexes 2 and 3 and to Table 1 to AEWA
The Secretariat of the Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds (UNEP/AEWA) would like to bring to your attention the Depositary Notifications No. 01/2026 of 15 January and 02/2026 of 20 February 2026 on the amendments to the Annexes 2 and 3 and Table 1 of the Agreement, adopted by Resolution 9.1 at the 9th Session of the Meeting of the Parties (MOP9), 11 – 14 November 2026, Bonn, Germany.
The Depository has transmitted the Annexes 2 and 3 and Table 1, as amended, in the authentic English and French version, in accordance with Article XVII, paragraph 3.In accordance with Article X, Paragraphs 5 and 6, the amendments to the Annexes entered into force on the 90th day after the date of adoption, i.e. 12 February 2026, except for the Parties which entered a reservation. The Parties which entered a reservation are Switzerland, Czechia and the European Union.
