Bonn, 16 November 2015 - The Critical Site Network tool was launched in 2010 to provide access to information about waterbird populations and their most important habitat sites. The importance and relevance of this tool is well recognised, so we are happy to announce that a new version will be developed in the coming months!

We aim to improve the tool by expanding its functions to support climate-change adaptation planning and securing a foundation for a long and productive life.

To provide you with the best tool possible, we want to hear from you: people who have used or will use it to help protect these important species.

Through your feedback, we can better identify how you use key features and how your analyses are used to make a difference in the real world. Your input will also allow us to identify potential new features that can make it a state-of-the-art tool for the successful conservation of birds.

To help us with this effort please take just 10 minutes to fill in our survey. It is available in both English and French

This new development will be undertaken by Vizzuality in collaboration with partners across the world as part of our initiative on a Climate Resilient African Eurasian Flyway Network. This initiative is  supported by the International Climate Initiative of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB), on the basis of a decision adopted by the German Bundestag.

Deadline is the 9 January 2016.
