AEWA Electronic Newsletter No. 34 Released
Bonn, 13 December 2012 - The UNEP/AEWA Secretariat
is pleased to announce that the 34th edition of the AEWA
E-Newsletter is now available.
Among other things, issue No. 34 of the AEWA E-Newsletter:
- Contains an article on the recent
accessions of Morocco and Swaziland to AEWA;
- Gives an update on the
recruitment process of the new AEWA Executive
Secretary;
- Calls for the nomination of AEWA National Focal Points for Communication, Education and Public Awareness (CEPA) - related matters;
- An inaugural
meeting on the AEWA Northern Bald Ibis International Working
Group held in Jazan, Saudi Arabia;
- The second
meeting of Lesser White-fronted Goose Range States;
- A workshop on the
International Waterbirds Census (IWC) in
North Africa.
- The Shoebill
action planning workshop in Uganda; and
- A workshop
to review the progress made in developing the capacity
building tools of CMS instruments.
The
AEWA E-Newsletter is designed to inform the Agreement’s
growing network about recent AEWA activities and related
news. It is published every two to three months and is available
in English and French.
The E-Newsletter can be accessed on the AEWA website and is also distributed via e-mail.
