AEWA Electronic Newsletter No. 33 Released
Bonn, 08 October 2012 - The UNEP/AEWA Secretariat is pleased to announce that the 33rd edition of the AEWA E-Newsletter is now available.
Among other things, issue 33 of the AEWA E-Newsletter:- Contains an article on the recent accession
to AEWA of Gabon;
- Looks back at two important AEWA meetings: the 5th Meeting
of the Parties to AEWA (MOP5 / France) and the
11th Meeting of the AEWA Technical
Committee (TC11 / Ghana);
- Highlights progress made in connection with AEWA's
African Initiative and Lesser White-fronted
Goose conservation work;
- Reveals why World Migratory Bird Day 2012 proved to be a real record-breaker
- A meeting on the Implementation of the AEWA International Species Management Plan (ISMP) for the Svalbard population of the Pink-footed Goose (Anser
brachyrhynchus);
- The 11th Conference of Parties to
the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands;
- A meeting of the Wadden Sea Flyway Initiative
(WSFI) Advisory Board.
The
AEWA E-Newsletter is designed to inform the Agreements growing network
about recent AEWA activities and related news. It is published every two
to three months and is available in English and French.
The E-Newsletter can be accessed on the AEWA website and is also distributed via e-mail.
