2022/005: New Party to the Agreement - Accession of Cameroon

The Secretariat of the Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds (UNEP/AEWA) is pleased to inform you that Cameroon will become a Contracting Party to AEWA as of 1 October 2022.

This accession will bring the total number of Parties to 83.

The UNEP/AEWA Secretariat is delighted to welcome Cameroon to the AEWA Family and looks forward to working closely with the Government and relevant stakeholders on the implementation of the Agreement.

Cameroon is also a Party to the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) since 1983.
