2019/001: New Parties to the Agreement - Accession of the Central African Republic and Serbia

The Secretariat of the Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds (UNEP/AEWA) is pleased to inform you that the Central African Republic and the Republic of Serbia will become Contracting Parties to AEWA as of 1 January and 1 March 2019 respectively.

These accessions will bring the total number of Parties to 79.

The UNEP/AEWA Secretariat is delighted to welcome the Central African Republic and Serbia to the AEWA Family.  The Secretariat looks forward to working closely with the Governments and other stakeholders in implementing the Agreement in these countries.
